David W. Burgher, Jr. Principal and Operating PartnerDavid founded Trophy Investments in 1998 and brings his multi-disciplinary background to bear on the various development/investments Trophy is involved in. His experience includes acquisitions and investment, land development, marketing, project financing, leasing, management, commercial valuation, development, and construction.
His experience spans 27 years in commercial real estate. He began his career in the early 1980s as a commercial real restate broker focusing on office leasing, selling office buildings, and assembling office and commercial sites. He began a career in commercial real estate appraisal in 1987 and in 1991 co-founded Butler Burgher Inc. The company became a regional valuation firm with offices in Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and Nashville, Tennessee. Various subsidiary companies were formed to focus on residential appraisal, litigation/condemnation, and environmental/engineering consulting. Butler Burgher Inc. was sold in 2007 to Land America.
David grew up in Dallas, graduated from Highland Park High School, the University of Texas and earned a Masters from Birmingham Theological Seminary (Presbyterian). David is a licensed Real Estate Broker, State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and Property Tax consultant. He is an advanced candidate for the heralded CCIM certification and the Appraisal Institute's MAI designation.
He is the current Chairman of the Board of Camp Bowie District, a nine-mile long PID in Fort Worth, Texas. David also serves on the Chancellor's Council for the University of Texas. He is a member of The Real Estate Council (TREC) for Dallas and Fort Worth, the North Texas Association of Commercial Realtors (NTCAR) and ICSC.
Additionally, he is member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, Dallas Country Club, and Fort Worth Club. He is a founding board member of Dallas Real Estate Ministries. He attends Park Cities Presbyterian Church where he was a founding member and deacon. He is the current teaching director for the Central Dallas – Community Bible Study.
He and his wife Pam have five children and live in Highland Park, Texas. |
